Ingredients:
- 1 can of large flaky biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 8 fully cooked breakfast sausages or mini hot dogs
- 4 slices of cheddar or American cheese, halved
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp everything bagel seasoning (optional, for topping)
- Maple syrup or honey mustard (for dipping!)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten the biscuits: Split each biscuit in half horizontally (you’ll get 16 halves). Flatten slightly into small rounds.
- Assemble: On each round, place half a cheese slice and a sausage. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal—like you’re tucking them into a little doughy quilt.
- Top it off: Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if using.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm with maple syrup for a sweet-salty twist or your favorite dip.
Would you like a version with puff pastry or maybe a breakfast-y twist using scrambled eggs too?
